Isn’t it time you learnt how to grow and market your business or organisation on free social media platforms like Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook?

The Introduction to Social Media for Media Professionals course is the ideal environment to learn how to use free social media tools strategically to grow your media business or organisation.

At the end of this course:

The ubiquity of high speed internet access means that your customers are probably talking about you online, to anyone who will listen!

About the Introduction to Social Media for Media Professionals Course

The Introduction to Social Media for Media Professionals course builds on Real Fresh TV’s success with the UK’s longest running 'social media for beginners' course: the Social Media Starter Course.

Like the Social Media Starter Course which trains marketing professionals in using social media to grow and market a business, the Introduction to Social Media for Media Professionals course combines practical training in creating content using social technologies with a solid introduction to the techniques necessary for creating mutually beneficial connections with consumers online using social media.

To learn more about the course, see the overview.

After attending the Introduction to Social Media for Media Professionals Course you will:

  • Know how to strategically connect new customers with your media business or brand using LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook
  • Know how to use a combination of social media metrics to calculate your Return On Investment (ROI) from Social Media
  • Know how to use free social media tools to monitor the online reputation of your media business or brand

Some interaction with a web panel is integrated within the delivery of the course with attendees sharing social media content with a digital panel of experienced social media enthusiasts using Twitter.

You will come away with a clear understanding of how to develop multi-platform media projects that engage consumers using social technologies like blogs, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Flickr etc.

The Introduction to Social Media for Media Professionals course concludes with an introduction to the rigours and demands of creating content for multiple platforms.

How will this help solve my marketing problem?

The Introduction to Social Media for Media Professionals course has been developed with a strong emphasis on practical problem-solving skills.

Alongside an interactive presentation and Q&A session, we devote a substantial section of the course to putting together a social media strategy for a real-life media project.

Please bring along a media project or issue you would like addressed.

The Venue

You may need to use social media to raise awareness of your business and engage with potential customers of your products and services.
